About City Palace

City Palace is the best palace complex situated in the city of Udaipur(near Lake Pichola) in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is inbuilt over a period of nearly 400 years ago, with contributions from several rulers of the Mewar dynasty. Its construct by Maharana Udai Singh in 1553, Family of the Sisodia Rajput family as he shifted his capital from the erstwhile Chittor to the newfound city of Udaipur.

History of City Palace

The palace is located on the (Behind Of) Lake Pichola(Udaipur) and has several palaces built within its complex. The City Palace in Udaipur was built in a flamboyant style in the state of Rajasthan. It was built atop a hill, in a fusion of the Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles, providing a Jag Mandir, Jagdish Temple(large Hindu temple), Monsoon Palace(Sajjan Garh Palace), and Neemach Mata(Near Fateh Sagar) temple are all in the vicinity of the palace complex. Nestled within the Aravali mountain range( 692 km (430 miters) in a south-west direction, starting near Delhi, passing through southern Haryana and Rajasthan, and ending in Gujarat). these landmarks are associated in popular culture with the filming of the 1983 James Bond movie Octopussy(directed by John Glen).
